And with so many of us, the amount of waste generated has reached 2 billion tons a year and continues to grow at an alarming rate. What if there was a way to put all this waste to good use? This is exactly the question that sparked the foundation of UBQ Materials. We set out on a mission to rethink the very notion of waste and turn it into something good, useful, even celebrated. For thousands of years, consumption was a straight line, and at the end of it was a pile of garbage. It is the dawn of a new era, because we’ve successfully bent that line into a perfect circle.

Using a patented conversion process, UBQ Materials turns landfill-destined municipal solid waste, including all organics, into UBQ™, a climate-positive, cost-competitive, and fully recyclable raw material. A sustainable replacement to virgin petroleum plastic, wood or concrete, UBQ™ is a circular solution that diverts waste and protects finite natural resources. UBQ™ is an easy material swap that can be integrated into existing manufacturing processes to reduce the carbon footprint of end-products in a wide variety of industries and applications.
