It's one of my favorite eating places. I usually go for the walleye dinner or a salad. Excellent food for a reasonable price. It is a family place, but in the middle of the day, it is quiet enough to read or have a good conversation with a friend or family. Kid friendly atmosphere and kid friendly prices for appetite satisfying custard. Enjoy some company and a satisfying meal.
The quality of the Hastings Culver's has really gone down hill...My last 4 recent visits there have all been consistently disappointing. During each visit, all the food has been served luke-warm, at best. The burgers were overdone and tough. (Not even warm enough for the cheese to melt.) The bun was dry. Cheese curds and fries were near cold and tasted odd, as if prepared in dirty fry oil. Even the water from the fountain had an unpleasant taste (undrinkable). Food took a long to time to be served after ordering and the order was wrong.From each of my visits, it appears the place is staffed by only teenagers with apparently no adult management on site.My impression is that this Culver's is very poorly run and judging by the quality of the food, cleanliness may not be up to standard.It's a shame, since this Culver's used to be consistently good several years ago. What happened? New ownership I wonder. If so, here's my advice to the owner...hire an adult manager.Nevertheless, I will not be back.
Food and salad was very good. Employees seem cordial. I did not receive any napkins or any dressing for either of the salads as requested. In the past the person that would run the food out to the car would review the order with you. They don't do that anymore. It would be very helpful for them and for us to implement that again.

Literally, 3rd times the charm! Forgot my side of cheese curds. Location wasn't busy at the time either. Not very happy with the service here lately.
Culver's is the Mid-Western burger chain of preference. It is a big chain franchise, but holds on to that Midwestern friendly customer service and some items are both unique and good.🍮 Frozen Custard is awesome 👍🥤 Root beer is their own recipe 👍🧀 The cheese curds are great 👍🍔 The burgers are fine, better than most chains 🙂
