West Bengal Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 Highlights: Mamata Banerjee’s TMC bags 29 seats.

WB, West Bengal Election Results 2024 Lok Sabha Highlights: The Mamata Banerjee ‘magic’ worked yet again for the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal even as the party romped home with 29 of the 42 parliamentary constituencies in the state, reducing the BJP to 12, six seats less than its previous count. Counting of votes took place on June 4, 2024 for the 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal across 55 centres in the state. The state, which went to polls in seven phases in the Lok Sabha elections, has the third-highest number of constituencies at 42. Although a part of the Opposition INDIA bloc, the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC has decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections in the state alone, thereby paving way for a three-cornered contest between the NDA, INDIA coalition and the TMC.
